Berkshire properties owned by the Queen, including a hotel and gardens in Windsor

The Crown Estate owns land across the UK, including properties in Berkshire.

While you might guess the Crown Estate owns Windsor Castle and Frogmore Cottage, it actually owns other assets in Berkshire that you may not be aware of.

The Crown Estate is a collection of lands and properties that technically belong to the British monarch.

It is the sovereign’s public domain and is neither government property nor part of the monarch’s private domain.

The Queen does, however, have a portfolio of private estates, and that includes Sandringham and Balmoral.

Overall, the Crown Estate has an extensive land portfolio, which includes the entirety of Regent Street and 14 retail parks.
