Legoland Windsor: Hotel reopens after weekend fire

LEGOLAND is set to reopen its hotel following a fire outside the premises last weekend.

The resort hotel has confirmed that it will reopen today (August 4) after a temporary closure.

The fire, isolated outside the hotel only, occurred on Sunday July 31 at 3:35 p.m.

LEGOLAND said the hotel was immediately evacuated and all guests and staff were safe.

A statement from LEGOLAND said: “The LEGOLAND Hotel is currently temporarily closed while assessments and necessary repairs are undertaken and is expected to reopen on Thursday August 4th.

“Any guests who were scheduled to stay were given the option of a full refund or being offered alternative accommodation free of charge.”

Hotel staff said visitors will still be able to visit the theme park with their tickets if they wish and the Castle Hotel, which is adjacent, is open.

LEGOLAND added, “We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and would like to thank them for their patience while we help everyone rearrange their reservations.”
