Royal Hotel in Cromarty on Black Isle set to close for 10 days amid latest coronavirus restrictions; Black Isle operator thanks loyal customers for ‘incredible support’ after lockdown
A BLACK Isle hotel owner will be closing starting Thursday next week for a 10-day period following the latest coronavirus restrictions.
Jenny Henderson of the Royal Hotel in Cromarty also thanked her loyal customers from the bottom of her heart for the “incredible support” since it reopened in July after the Covid-19 lockdown which provided many hospitality professionals with their biggest challenge. in living memory.
She said: “Despite all the rules being followed and significant changes in the way we do things at the Royal, the hospitality business faces even more restrictions and unfortunately that means we will be closing to starting Thursday October 15 for 10 days, reopening (hopefully!) on Monday October 25. “
The new restrictions mean that alcohol cannot be served inside and that unless someone is staying at the hotel, they are not allowed in after 6 p.m.
The hotel indicates that until Wednesday October 14 inclusive, it will open at 11 a.m. It will be served inside – and to take away – between noon and 4 p.m.
It will also offer a take-out operation from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. during this period.
Ms Henderson said on the hotel’s Facebook page: “We have received incredible support since reopening in July – whether you joined us for a stay, food, drinks, coffee to go or that you just liked our social media posts. Thank you, that was greatly appreciated. I am especially honored that so many of you chose the Royal for your first post-containment meal. Thank you. “
