Silversea unveils ‘revolutionary’ new design • Hotel Designs

Silver Nova’s asymmetrical design will be a first for the cruise line, with the ship offering passengers a new level of outdoor space for an unprecedented openness to the destination. This, along with a reimagined, outward-facing pool deck, an alfresco dining area, and a sky bar that offers panoramic views from the stern of the ship, takes cruise ship design to the next level. .

“Silver Nova represents the next iteration of Silversea’s unique vision of luxury, with an entirely new design approach that will enhance our customers’ cruising experience,” said Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO of Silversea. “With its asymmetrical outward-facing layout and all-new outdoor spaces, Silver Nova will offer our guests a whole new way to connect and engage with every destination. Additionally, with its groundbreaking environmental credentials, Silver Nova will reinforce our position at the forefront of sustainable cruise travel.

The pool deck on decks 10 and 11 will be the main outdoor space for guests to relax, refresh and socialize, with enough space for all 280 sunbeds. The horseshoe-shaped swimming pool will occupy a generous space on the starboard side of the ship, offering stunning views of the destination from the swimming pool, adjacent pool bar and sunbathing areas. At 130 square meters, the main pool is larger than any previous ship and has been redesigned with a new layout, wide entry steps and shallower waters for guests to sit in. Deck 10’s pool bar provides a centralized hub for socializing, day or night. Silver Nova’s highest level, Deck 11, forms an amphitheater-like structure with the deck below and will provide guests with a quieter, more intimate space to relax, again with stunning views of the destination and out to sea. At its center, overlooking the port side of the ship, is a brand new infinity hot tub, aptly named The Cliff Whirlpool.

The design includes the introduction of two new dining and drinking areas on deck 10. The marquee is the first of the pair, positioned towards the stern of the ship on the port side and enjoying sea views. alfresco dining will accommodate up to 220 guests, including The Grill and Spaccanapoli, two of Silversea’s existing signature venues that offer guests the cruise line’s “hot rocks” culinary concept and arguably the best pizza in sea, respectively. Due to its proximity to the pool, The Marquee will welcome guests into a relaxed atmosphere, serving casual fare by day and dining under the stars by night.

The second of two new food and drink venues, The Dusk Bar is a brand new open-air bar that offers a stylish space for up to 70 people to enjoy a drink, with 270-degree panoramic views from the stern of the Silver Nova.

Of its eight restaurants, Silver Nova will offer guests a selection of iconic Silversea restaurants on decks three and four, albeit expanded and redesigned with improved designs. The largest of the restaurants, La Terrazza will seat 340 people and will feature a vibrant new color palette. Floor-to-ceiling windows will surround the restaurant’s interior space, offering spectacular views to connect diners to the destination, while its outdoor terrace will be larger than ever. A guest favourite, Atlantide will seat 270 guests on deck three as the ship’s second largest restaurant, with a new interior design. Silversea’s signature French restaurant, La Dame, will be more spacious than ever on deck four, with an expanded capacity of 70 diners and higher ceilings. Drawing inspiration from the world’s best sushi restaurants, Kaiseki will maintain its minimalist and sophisticated aesthetic, welcoming up to 40 guests on deck four. More information on Silver Nova’s extensive culinary offerings will be released soon.

In addition to incorporating a new design approach for the industry’s leading cruise line, Silver Nova will push the boundaries of ultra-luxury cruise travel with pioneering sustainability credentials. She is set to become the world’s first low-emission cruise ship with advanced hybrid technology that uses fuel cells, emitting zero harmful emissions in port, an industry first.
