Slough Apartments refused and Windsor Hotel parking changes approved
The rejection of MAJOR plans for 29 apartments is just one of many planning decisions or requests submitted to the Slough Borough Council or the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

But planning agents believe that apartment buildings would result in a “significant loss of privacy” for neighbors, the basement parking lot would not provide “convenient access and exit” for vehicle use, and plans did not show that it would not restrict or severely sterilize land to the north.
Concerns over surface water drainage also prompted officers to recommend that councilors on the planning committee, which will meet on Wednesday, September 15, deny the request.

Royal Borough town planners have given the developers prior permission to transform the offices, which are currently still in use, into four apartments. No further details were disclosed.
However, Cookham ward councilor Mandy Brar (Lib Dem) and the parish council wanted the project to be refused because the plan contains “no green infrastructure” and no green space unlike the borough’s design guide.
Cllr Brar called the app to be determined by the planning committee. She wrote: âI would like to oppose the change in use of the above proposal because the proposal does not contain any green infrastructure contrary to the NPPF 194 policy of the local borough plan.
âAlso contrary to policy 6.3 of the district-wide design guide, has no green space or gardens unlike VDS G 6.8 and 6.21 and has no screening unlike G6.20 , no landscaping unlike G6.7.
